Congratulations to our latest WR holders F75 team of Eileen Kenny & Pat Kelly of Tullamore Hrs, Evelyn McNelis, Naas A.C. & Mags Glavey of Mayo A.C who (subject to ratification) recorded a time of 15.00.44 for 4 x 800m relay. A word of thanks also to F60 Team comprising of Maura Dervan , Mullingar Hrs, Edel Maguire Clonliffe Hrs, Moira Groome, Trim A.C. & Anne Gilshinan, Slaney Olympic who were the “Challenge” Team to ensure that all T&Cs were abided by. Thanks also to Dublin Athletics.
Many thanks to Weightlifting Ireland for facilitating Athletics Ireland Masters Athletes by including us in their next Anti-Doping Education session on Friday15th August at 7.30pm.It is highly advised that athletes intending to compete in Madiera attend this seminar.Please contact Lucy Moore via email at lucy.moorefox@gmail.com to register your interest.
For Athletes who still wish to seek out T&F competition, don’t forget initiative been promoted by DSD to facilitate a unique track event on Sat 30th Aug. This will also enable Athletes who are in training for European Masters T&F Champs to have some additional competition prior to travelling out in Oct. To cap off day’s competition on 30th Aug, IMAA Awards Night
will take place in Eden House, Rathfarnham later that evening. Your support for both events would be greatly appreciated. Know that Ronan, Avril, Kevin & many others in DSD are working extremely hard in pulling all this together & will be more than happy to answer any queries. Please see https://european-masters-athletics.org for further information, this will also provide details of calendar of events for 2026 Champs. or can enter via https://share.google/9O4rHpfbi6xcGwyuc Please note that Athletes entering for Maderia must be registered members of Athletic clubs here in Ireland or in their country of residence if not currently registered with AAI. Also, must be a fully paid-up Member of IMAA in order to have your entry validated by IMAA International Sec.
