INSURANCE COVER
For the purposes of clarification please note IMAA does not provide insurance cover for Master athletes.
We are also advised that the normal Athletics Association of Ireland/Club membership insurance only provides cover for athletic events with AAI permits taking place in Ireland.
Normal AAI/Club membership insurance does not provide any insurance cover for Master athletes who travel and compete outside Ireland. Therefore it is strongly recommended that all athletes going abroad for athletic events should check their personal travel insurance policy (or other relevant policy) to ensure they are fully indemnified against injury while preparing for or taking part in athletic events.
IMAA do not accept any responsibility for the consequence of personal injury to athletes or property where the athlete does not provide for adequate personal insurance indemnifying the athlete when going abroad.
