Road Racing in Raheny a huge success

Great days racing in Raheny on Sunday as Raheny Shamrocks once again hosted the Irish Life Health AAI National Road Relays. A grand total of 103 Teams completed over the 6 different categories. A good mix of teams travelling from Donegal, Galway, Clare, Cork & Kilkenny. More clubs should support this event.

First off was Masters Women, with just over 18 Teams facing the Starter. Sportsworld F35 took the first title of the day, holding off Finn Valley with host club Raheny Shamrock in bronze. Raheny Shamrock took the honours in F50s with Bros Pearse 2nd & Lucan Hrs in 3rd place.

A fantastic total of 35 Teams competed in the M35/M50 categories, with East Cork taking gold in M35s followed home by Bros Pearse & Clonliffe Hrs. Inishowen A.C won the M50s title with Donore Hrs in silver & MSB taking bronze.

Senior titles were won by UCD in the Women’s & Clonliffe Hrs in the Men’s.

Please note that entries close for World Masters Champs in Tampere 29th June to 10th July on Wed 27th April, so please ensure that you get your entry in on time. Over 40 Irish Athletes registered to date. Check out all details on www.wmatampere2022.com

Non Stadia will be held in Grosseto, Italy from 12thto 15th May. Closing date for this is 1st May. Details can be found via www.grosseto2022.com

All entrants must be registered with IMAA in order to be approved, so please ensure that Membership fee for 2022 is paid up to date.
