Final Call for this weekends XC

Best wishes to all Athletes competing this Saturday 12th Nov at the British & Irish Masters CC Champs, with first race off @ 11am. For those booked into the Clayton Hotel, race no’s will be handed out at Team meeting, commencing 7:30pm. Anyone travelling up on the day, race nos will be available from Team Managers, George Maybury/Pat O’Grady from 10am close to finish area.

As there is no immediate car parking in the vicinity of Santry Demense, shuttle buses will transport the Athletes from the hotel to the course. First buses will start loading at 8:45am outside hotel. We request that Athletes be transported firstly & any paying accompanying supporters take the later buses. Those travelling on the day, please ensure you allow adequate time to locate a parking spot & get to race start on time. Return times will be advised on the day & will take into account weather conditions.

Schedule on the day as follows;

Team photos commence @ 10am, taking place beside monument just beyond finish area.

Race 1 @ 11am M&W65 plus 6km

Race 2 @ 11:50 W35 plus 6km

Race 3 @ 12:35 M50 – M64 8km

Race 4 @ 13:20 M35 – M49 8km

Open race @ 14:00 M35 –M64 8km, W35 plus & M65 plus 6km.

Due to refurbishment of Morton Stadium, this is completely out of bounds to us & on site facilities are limited, so please ensure that you bring appropriate clothing for the day, including a change of gear for those competing plus adequate baggage to transport those muddy spikes/shoes.

On line entry for open race is available via www.myrunresults.com €10 pre-entry or €15 on the day. You can also purchase special commemorative tee-shirt via the site, with a participants & supporters option available, with a share of the profits going to Creeslough fund.

Post race gala & awards ceremony will be held in the Clayton, assembling @ 7pm, with meal ready to commence at 7:30. This will be attended by the Lord Mayor of Fingal together with President of Athletics Ireland.
