1) Masters competing at Seniors including World Record breaking Anne Gilshinan; 2) World Record attempts; 3) National Masters; 4) Eamon Harvey RIP

Several Master Athletes participated in the 123.ie AAI National Senior Indoor Champs in Abbottstown last weekend. A special mention to Anne Gilshinan of Slaney Olympic who smashed her previous WR in the 1500m & becomes the first F60 to crack the 5minute barrier Indoors, stopping the clock at 4.58:80.

Ronan has pulled a further 5 Teams together to attack some more 4x400m and 4x200m World Records at the final Track & Field Live event this coming Wed 4th March in Abbottstown.

Would also like to draw Athletes attention to closing date for 123.ie AAI Masters Indoor Champs in Athlone on Sunday 15th Mar. Closing date for entries is Sun 8th Mar at midnight. Please note that entry fees will increase on Thurs 5th, so please ensure that you avail of this over the next few days. No entries will be accepted beyond Sunday 8th. Please see link below.

With over 140 Athletes entered for European Master’s Indoor Champs in Torun, AAI Masters Champs will afford many of those travelling a final opportunity to tune up in advance of competing at the end of March.

The IMAA would also like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family & many friends of Eamon Harvey of Tir Chonaill AC who passed away over the weekend. Eamon was a very valued member of the Athletic Community, and his passing has left a huge void. He will be sadly missed. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
