Congratulations to all Athletes who competed in the Irish Life Dublin Marathon on Sunday 29th Oct. Almost 3000 registered AAI Athletes took part in the National Marathon Champs, which was incorporated into the event. From a Masters perspective, pride of place must go to the top 3 Irish Women, all Masters, with Ann Marie McGlynn, Letterkenny A.C. 2:34.13 winning the overall Senior Women’s title for the first time, after 2 previous podium finishes. Gladys Ganiel, North Belfast Hrs, 2:37.00 took Silver & Sorcha Loughnane, Donore Hrs, Bronze 2:45.31. Provisional results can be viewed @ www.myrunresults.com

Onto this coming weekend, our attention turns to the British & Irish Masters CC Champs, which will be hosted by Scottish Masters in Tollcross Park, Glasgow on Sat 11th Nov. Both Irish Teams will be out to defend their titles from Santry 2022. Race timetable on Sat morning;

O65 Men & Women 11:05

M50 – M60 incl 12:45

M35 – M45 incl 13:30

Open race 14:15

Race nos will be available via Team Managers, from 6pm – 7pm Fri evening in the lobby of the Crowne Plaza. Shuttle buses will also depart from the Crowne Plaza Sat morning to Tollcross Park. Further details will be available on the Friday evening. Commemorative medals will also be presented to selected Irish Athletes on the evening.

All Athletes must wear the Official Irish Masters Approved Joma singlet. This was already pointed out in the notification sent out to all selected Athletes.
