Lots of news here …..

Congratulations to Niall Power whose regular running Podcasts on Master Athletes will now be shared by European Masters Athletics on their website & Social Media Platforms. Niall has been doing tremendous work pulling these regular features together & conducting in depth interviews with many Master Athletes, both here in Ireland plus abroad. Niall inserts these links, when available, on Irish Masters Home & Away WhatsApp group.

As summer approaches, Dublin Graded meets are about to kick off, with the first one scheduled for Sunday 5th May in UCD Campus. There are a total of 8 events scheduled across 5 stadiums in Dublin. Please see www.dublinathletics.com for further details. As part of the schedule, Ronan has managed to have a special event included on the programme for Santry on Sunday 12th May. He has pulled together a list of Athletes who he hopes can combine & attempt to break some age group Masters 4 x 800m Outdoor Relays World Records. Again please check WhatsApp Irish Masters Home & Away Group for further details or email Ronan directly @ ronangately@hotmail.com

Best wishes to all Master Athletes who are competing this coming Sun 28th April @ AAI National Road Relays in Raheny.

Finally, on behalf of IMAA, I would like to thank Tim Shiels who has overseen the website for well over a decade. This was perhaps our main source of getting info out all those years ago, but as more social media outlets have become available, the website has may not be as relevant as it was in the past. However, we will still continue to put the information out, so if anyone wishes to step into looking after the site, please feel free to get in contact.

George Maybury,

President IMAA
