The Jim McNamara Perpetual Trophies, presented by IMAA will be awarded to the first Female & Male Master Athletes in each race. Selection criteria for Teams as follows; Same selection policy will apply, as in previous years, i.e. for teams where 6 Athletes are required, M35 up to M50 incl. first 4 across the line will gain automatic selection, with the option of 2 wildcard requests, (if submitted) been considered by selection committee. All other teams, i.e.M55 to M75 plus all women’s teams have 4 Athletes, with first 3 across the line gaining selection with 1 wildcard option. Requests must be submitted in writing, outlining why unable to attend plus also provide recent race results from previous 6-8 weeks. These should be forwarded to International Sec, Pat O’Grady @internationalsec@gmail.com

Verbal or phone requests will not be entertained.

Please note that where an Athlete is running under their correct age category for trial, but is eligible for new category by 12th Nov, then this will have to be factored in by Selection Comm when selecting Teams. The onus is on the Athlete to notify IMAA in advance to avoid any problems arising after Teams are named.

Any Athlete wishing to be considered for selection must be a registered member of an Athletics club, plus also be a fully paid up member of IMAA (Annual Fee €15) Membership fees can be now paid directly via website, click on Members tab navigate through from there. Please fill in all relevant details, incl. date of birth, contact no & email address.

As IMAA are hosting the British & Irish Masters Champs in Santry Demesne on Sat 12th Nov, we are hoping to field strongest teams possible across all the age groups. So if any Athletes know of fellow club members who can contest for places on the teams but possibly not aware of an opportunity to represent their Country, please relay the message. This is a prestigious Championship with each & every placing keenly contested.

Selection Comm will meet following the trial on Mon night, so any anomalies that may appear in the results, please advise Pat @internationalsec@gmail.com prior to Teams been picked.

Best wishes to all those who will be seeking selection.
