SUMMER NEWS

The exodus has commenced, with early bird Athletes already arriving into Tampere in preparation for World Masters T & F Champs, which kick off on Wed 29th June running until 10th July. Some have already experienced travel delays with either security or flights not taking off as scheduled, so please be prepared & try stay composed & as relaxed as possible. Might be also best advisable to take the essentials on board as hand luggage.

Anne Gormley & Sean McMullin will be covering Team Manager duties out there, but please be mindful that both are also competing. Ian Egan will also provide backup Physio treatment , same arrangements as applied in Braga.

Wish all who are travelling a safe & successful trip. After the phenomenal success in Braga, medal hopes will be high, but can expect even tougher competition, given that this is a World Championships. Above all, hope you all thoroughly enjoy the experience.

Please see www.wmatampere2022.com for additional information.

Irish Life AAI National Masters Champs will take place in Tullamore on Sat 13th Aug. Can expect online entries to open shortly. Please keep an eye on www.athleticsireland.ie for more information. Anne Gormley has advised that Tullamore Show is also scheduled for that weekend, so accommodation is going to be difficult to secure plus can also expect large volume’s of traffic around the town that day.
