Christmas News

On behalf of the IMAA Committee, I would like to wish all Master Athletes & their families a Happy & Peaceful Christmas plus a Happy & Healthy New Year. As 2021 draws to a close, we look forward to a more meaningful & competitive 2022.

As of today 23rd Dec. the news re Braga is that they are hopeful that this will still go ahead. LOC have extended entries until 13th Jan 2022 & final decision will be made on 14th Jan. Should they decide not to go ahead, all entry fees will be refunded in full. Initial reports suggested that this would not occur, but EMAA have confirmed that this is not the case. Please see link below;

On the home front, we are hopeful that British & Irish Masters CC Champs will go ahead next Nov in Santry after a 2 year deferral. Will provide more information on this early 2022.

Our fellow Athletes in IMRA are hosting World Mountain Champs in the Comeragh Mountains 2nd– 4th Sept 2022. This is open to all Athletes, once registered members. Please seehttps://www.wmmrch2022.ie/ for additional details. This affords Master Athletes to compete at a major World Masters Championships, in a beautiful setting & within our own country. Again will furnish more detail over the coming months.

Yours in sport

Mike Fennell

President/Sec IMAA
