Very creditable performances, under very trying conditions from those competing in the non Stadia Champs in Alicante over the weekend. Pride of place to Annette Kealy F50 who won the 10km with Brian O’Domhnaill also picking up silver in the gruelling 30km race walk. Due to the small nos. competing, Athletes had to move down a number of age groups to complete Teams. In the CC relays, Annette together with Michelle Cox & Jackie Stamp won silver in F35s. Final medal was won in the 30km race walk, with Brian, Bob Lyne M50 & IMAA President Sean McMullin M70, who combined to make up a M40s team & were rewarded with bronze.

Special mention also to the M35s who were an agonisely  4th in both the CC relays & ½ marathon, plus same for the M55s in the CC relays. A word of thanks to both George & Ian who did Trojan work behind the scenes plus also to the no. of supporters who were out on the course, providing encouragement and much needed water.

Focus now turns to the World Masters Champs in Malaga, where once again will expect a huge turnout of Irish Athletes competing.
