Busy past few weekends with both AAI 10k Champs & Relay Champs been held. Pride of place to Brian Maher of KCH who was first Irish Man home at the Great Ireland 10km & which also incorporated the AAI 10km Champs. Please see www.athleticsireland.ie for full results, including all Masters results.


Raheny Shamrocks once again hosted AAI Road Relay Champs last Sunday, with 17 clubs facing the starter in the opening Masters Women’s race. Finn Valley were impressive winners in the F35s followed home by Newbridge A.c. & Crusaders A.C. Host Club Raheny Shamrocks had a comfortable 2 min plus margin in the F50s, with Finn Valley 2nd & Drogheda District 3rd. 


31 Teams in total toed the line in the Masters Mens race,  with Donore Hrs narrowly holding off Letterkenny A.C. & Rathfarnham A.c. just 1 second behind. St.Finbarrs M50s had a comfortable margin over Raheny Shamrocks, who in turn had a 10 second cushion over Drogheda District.


DSD women prevailed in the Senior Women’s race, overtaking North Down in the final leg, with DCH winning bronze & 19 teams completing. Raheny Shamrock men took the final honours in the Senior Mens race, again coming from behind in the final leg, overtaking DSD with KCH winning bronze & 25 teams completing. Final reminder re non Stadia as entries will close on 30th April. As the Champs. kicks off in Alicante on Fri 17th May. It’s unlikely that closing date of 30th April will be extended. Please see www.emacnsalicante2018.online for further info.
